Limerick Compendiums in search of Publishing House

Wed Jul 9, 2008, 11:31 AM
I've composed and compiled 3 complete compendiums (compendia?) of Limericks, and would love to see them published.

"The Encyclopedia of Limericks" is a very educational work and could serve as an entertaining source of mnemonic learning aides for students and grown-ups alike.

"The Tao of Fred" rivals the Tao Te Ching in depth and scope, addressing all areas of philosophy and metaphysics, providing more questions than answers, but enough of both to make it a worthwhile read.

Finally, I've translated what may be the most challenging novel of the 20th century into a much more digestible format. For each episode of James Joyce's "Ulysses", corresponding to the episodes of Homer's "Odyssey", I've written one or more Limericks which aim to unify the episode's theme and content. It makes a priceless companion piece to the impenetrable masterpiece.

Welcome

Mon Jun 23, 2008, 11:42 AM
I would like to welcome myself to Deviant Art. I hope to keep this site updated with my poetry. Last year I compiled an Encyclopedia of Limericks, with over 365 entries, featuring various personalities from history, literature, arts and sciences.

Most of my poetry has a more philosophical bent, but I am primarily sticking to the anapest meter of the limericks, with 11 syllable rhymed couplets. Call me old-fashioned, but I like poetry with rhythm and rhyme.
